Meet the Wooden Woodworks Team in Central Texas

Oscar is our co-founder, along with his wife Marla, and the creator of all of our plans. Life has taken him through many career opportunities. At a young age, he delivered newspapers, helped with his parent's business, and served in the US Army. Being an entrepreneur is in his blood, and finding a passion for handcrafting wood pieces was a complete surprise. Oscar is a dedicated husband, an incredibly involved/loving father, and an outstanding student. In his "free time," Oscar enjoys building legos, fishing, spending time with friends/family, and time at the ballpark watching Mateo play baseball. Oscar is also acquiring a Bachelor's degree. 

Marla

Marla is our co-founder, beside her husband, Oscar. She manages social media, specializes in the design process, builds, paints, and finishes. She served patients and providers for over eight years as a Medical Assistant. While assisting Oscar in creating a custom flag for a friend, she, too, found a passion for handcrafting custom wood pieces. Shortly after, Oscar and Marla established Wooden Woodworks in 2018. She is devoted to God, her family, and their business. In her "free time," Marla enjoys watching Mateo grow as an athlete and develop in baseball, basketball, and football. Marla enjoys church, traveling, spa days, and spending quality time with friends and family. 

Oscar Sr. 

Oscar Sr., alias "Mr. Gadget '' has been a successful entrepreneur in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, for over 28 years. During the start of the pandemic, he was forced to close his business temporarily. Soon after, Oscar and Marla flew him in to help with orders, as custom desks were in high demand. Since then, he has joined his son Oscar and Marla at Wooden Woodworks full-time, learning a new trade. Oscar Sr. enjoys his family the most; he has three successful children and four beautiful grandchildren. Oscar enjoys taking long drives during his free time to see places he's never been before. 

Margie

Margie and her husband, Oscar Sr., worked their business in Puerto Rico for many years. Recently she started working for Wooden Woodworks as a painter. Margie has been quite a delight to teach; she is hardworking and a quick learner. During her time off, Margie enjoys taking trips back home to PR to visit with her mom and having her grandkids spend the night at her home. Margie is an exceptional mom and has the most giving heart.
